The driving force behind Jisas wantaim, in prayer, practical ministry, promoting and preparing. Each of these people are practioners with particular skills that enhance our ability to achieve our goals.
- Uncle Graham Paulson: Uncle Graham is the first ever ordained Indigenous Baptist pastor in Australia and has been involved in ministry for over 50 years. In that time he has worked in remote, rural and urban contexts and brings an incredible depth of knowledge regarding Indigenous Australian cultures. In addition, he is one of the premiere Aboriginal theologians within Australia and is focussed on the key task of exploring what it means to be truly Aboriginal and truly Christian in a post-modern Australia.
- Goma Conlon: Goma is widely known and loved for his earthy and authentic faith and his active role in Indigenous communities. He is based in the south Brisbane suburb of Inala, and has ministered there as well as Rockhampton and Canberra. As well as being on the Advisory Group, Goma is also employed as the Jisas wantaim Pastoral Carer/Trainer. His role is to develop and support the network of Indigenous Christian leaders, focussing on mentoring and training specifically.
- Kyle Slabb: A Bundjalung man who is committed to his Christ and his culture. Kyle and his young family are based in Fingal Heads, NSW and are actively involved in many ministries. In particular, through Crossflow, he is involved in worship and teaching, and travels extensively. His easy-going nature and many experiences allow him to adapt and contribute in diverse settings. Kyle brings a clear voice and sharp mind to the ministry and has a passion to see young and old active disciples.
- Chris Ellis: Chris has cultural and family links throughout Queensland. She is involved in the Dinmore Murri fellowship and has a strong intercessory prayer gifting. Chris has a passion for Women’s ministry and applies a persistent and focussed nature that brings clarity and direction for the ministry. Chris also works within the Baptist Union of Australia as the personal assistant to the National Director.
- Brian Zeller: Brian is actively involved in dhiiyaan, an Indigenous missional community based in Keperra, north-west Brisbane. Brian is also a denominational council board member and has much experience in strategic and operational planning. Strong-willed and servant-hearted, Brian makes a significant contribution to the ministry of djaywunti and is a great asset.
- Billy Williams: Billy is from the Kamilaroi people of north-western NSW. He is the Facilitator for Jisas wantaim and as such, serves the ministry and Advisory Group in this capacity.

Hey Goma and Billy! We found you!! Greetings and love from us all at Mildura
A challenge for all of us! How God has placed a longing in my heart to see the indigenous Australian brothers and sisters in the Lord embrace Christ in their personal cultural context! How exciting to hear of that same stirring of the Holy Spirit in many other believers! God is doing a work in the desert! I suggest a book I read that God lead me to, He encouraged me greatly through it…”Can you feel the mountains tremble? – A Handbook on Healing the Land – Dr Sequila” – I feel we can really learn from such prior works God has done in this case in the indigenous Indians in America…a rising up of cultural ownership, stewardship and spiritual authority that is God given, a power released only by the outpouring of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May we all learn and embrace our heritage praising Him with many different languages, instuments, dances, ceremonies and cultural experssions of our faith in Christ! Amen lets reclaim what has been stolen …in the spiritual realm first…our God is faithful and will answer us!
I agree that our brother who spoke this truth is brave! Let us keep praying for justice, mercy and humility…

The Saturday morning Welcome to Country by Murrindindi and response by the Crossflow boys was one of the most moving and powerful things I’ve seen. Thanks Billy and Goma for helping to make this happen and thanks be to God for the outpouring of his Spirit that has led to our eyes being opened!!!
